Below is a
selection of our in-progress and recently completed
projects:
|
Zimbabwe Black
Worktop
Bare kitchen
carcasses with appliances already in-situ. This kitchen is ready to
receive granite worktops.
|
|
|
|
After
completion. Slips have been placed around the sink to minimise the
necessary jointing of the granite, due to the length of the
worktop. |
Tables
A Statuary marble table is restored to its former glory by Simon
Coulon. This garden table top wore 12 years worth of
weathering and staining, and was nearly black when first brought to
us. |

|

|
Flooring
A recent project at Windsor Castle is completed. 400 hundred year
old cobblestones were removed from St. James's Gate and later
replaced, following the installation of a security
system. |
Anything
Stone
This brass bust of Prince Philip was recently brought to us. The
original pin holding it to the Carrara marble base was
insufficient. We strengthened the bust with enlarged pins to keep
it firmly in place, solving the problem. |
|
|
|
Tables
A recently created Console Table. The client initially brought a
photograph to us, which we were able to recreate in the stone of
their choice - Bath Stone in this case.
|
Staircase
A marble
staircase being installed in a new hotel in Beaconsfield. The
combination of Brouille Carrara with green Verde K strips gives a
classical feel to this eye-catching feature. The main challenge was
curving the marble around each step. Holes have been drilled to
allow the installation of LED lighting along the edges of the
steps.

Bath Stone Fireplace
Detail
A traditional Bath fireplace is
created from one solid block, details being hand-carved by our
masons for a truly stunning look. |
|
 |
Flooring
Verde K tiles
are laid in the bar/reception area of the hotel, complimenting the
staircase (top-left corner of this photo). These tiles are 2m x 1m,
and require skilfull handling to ensure accurate alignment. Cuts
are made by hand to butt the marble to the reception desk and into
corner areas.

Marble
Worktop
This
worktop was specially requested in marble. The Verde K offers a
deep green colour not available in granite, however, marble is much
more porous and susceptible to scratching than granite. Sacrificing
suitability for colour is the customer's decision, but we will
always provide advice and guidance to ensure clients know the
limits of their stone.

Plinth
Commisioned by
the RAF, this Bath Stone plinth commemorates the closure of an
historic air base. The yellow tones characterizing Bath Stone were
perfect to provide a natural yet eye-catching feature in the
grounds. The brass plaque was attached using pins, for a firm
hold. |
Quartz Stone
Worktops
This
contemporary kitchen has used a white / black colour scheme to
great effect. White quartz stone worktops provide fantastic
contrast to the gloss black unit doors. 20mm slabs were used, with
the edge built up to 50mm to create the illusion of thicker
worktops. |

|
Wild West Green
Worktop
A ceramic Belfast sink, surrounded
by granite and featuring draining grooves either side of the
central sink. A granite 'tongue' has been placed underneath the
sink to complete the look perfectly. |
Star Galaxy
Worktop
This kitchen incorporates an
island unit, upon which overhanging granite has been used to create
a perfect breakfast bar. Star Galaxy granite features a gorgeous
copper fleck, bringing out the tone of the wooden
units. |
